ABRA-KID-ABRA!
Magic of the Eclipse
Chester Public Library
Saturday, Aug. 19th
11 AM

Abra-Kid-Abra has been performing and teaching magic and variety arts since 2005. Our goal is bringing out the star in kids. We help kids develop presentation skills and confidence. St. Louis magician, Jeff Lefton founded Abra-Kid-Abra with Josh Routh. Jeff”s background was in magic, and Josh’s, in circus. Jeff was shy as a kid, and was bullied. Magic improved his confidence and helped him come out of his shell. Jeff went on to perform at Hollywood’s Magic Castle, in Las Vegas, and on a national tour for General Motors. He founded Abra-Kid-Abra to help kids gain the same benefits from magic as he did.
Many viewing and educational opportunities will be posted here as they are planned for 2024.
Please visit this page often for the most updated information, and be sure to share our site
with your friends and relatives.
SAMPLE OF EVENTS
OFFERED IN 2017 ARE LISTED BELOW

James DeCamp, Amateur Astronomer, will be joining us for the big event on Monday!
He will be bringing eclipse shades and 7x50 eclipse safe binoculars to share, and will photograph the main event using a Celestron 8" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope on an equatorial mount. He plans to be able to offer views of the eclipse on his Ipad connected to the camera.
He has an interesting incentive to come to Chester: His grandmother grew up here and her grandfather was Charles Brigg Cole, an early town leader and the inspiration for Elzie Segar's character, Cole Oyl.
